Ales & Tails at Kansas City Renaissance Festival

Let’s go to the Reniassance Festival with our pooches!

September 17th is the discount weekend for dog admission – only $5 per pooch!

We will meet at the front gate at 10:15am, attend the “Tallest and Smallest Dog” contest as a group, and grab lunch as a group – then we’ll take and adventure around the festival grounds and check out the other shows, vendors, and competitions throughout the day – after lunch, feel free to go off and explore on your own.

Dog Contests

• 10:45am – Tallest and Smallest Dog

• 1:15pm – Dog Costume Contest

• 2:45pm – Hot “Dog” Eating Competition

• 3:00pm – Best Dog Trick Competition

• 4:00pm – Small Dog Race, under 25lbs. (changed from being a Beagle only race. Details – j.mp/2cJvkjl)

Dog Admission

$5 – must be in cash

Dog Registration Form – You must complete the registration from and bring it with you – j.mp/2cLNXpW (Note – they also need a hard copy photo of your dog)

Additional Dog Guidelines

• Participants must fill out the registration form

• Have proof of rabies vaccine by either the tag with expiration date or records from the the vet 

• Hard copy photo of the dog (it’s an additional $5, if they have to take the photo on-site)

• Leashes must be 4ft or shorter

• 1 dog per owner

• No puppies under 6 months

Human Admission

Regular adult admission price is $21.95 at the gate. Bring in 5 nonperishable food items and receive $5 OFF

If you RSVP YES, but your plans change, please update your RSVP to NO. 

If you do not plan to meet the group at 10:15am sharp, please do not RSVP YES. Instead, just post a comment on this event page when you arrive and you can meet up with the group.

New members who no-show for their first event & established members who no-show twice will be removed from KC Dog Club.
