Christmas Morning Hike at Shawnee Mission Park

We’re meeting at Shawnee Mission Park’s Shelter #3, and we will hike the Orange Loop and Violet Loop trails – for a total of 4.5 miles.

If you need something a bit shorter, no fear – there are multiple opportunities for you to cut your hike short.

This is a hike on dirt and rock trails, so make sure you prepare properly. The trails do have some obstacles (rocks) and the trails do go up and down hills. Bring water for your pooches!

OFF-LEASH – All cities in the Kansas City area have “leash laws,” requiring dogs to be on-leash at all times (other than specifically designated areas). As a group, KC Dog Club does not require dogs to be kept on-leash, however, you (alone) are responsible for your dog, the actions of your dog, and any fines you may receive for your dog being off-leash.
