Afternoon hike at James A Reed Park, ~2.5 miles
The James A Reed hiking trail is a dirt and rock trail through the woods, so wear the right shoes and prepare however else you see fit for a short hike.
The hike should take less than 2 hours.

Note – There are 2 entrances to the park. I recommend using the north entrance to the park (screenshot – prnt.sc/dexhzv). The south entrance is sometimes closed on the weekends. If Google Maps suggests the south entrance, it will automatically redirect the route once you enter the north gate.
OFF-LEASH – All cities in the Kansas City area have “leash laws,” requiring dogs to be on-leash at all times (other than specifically designated areas). As a group, KC Dog Club does not require dogs to be kept on-leash, however, you (alone) are responsible for your dog, the actions of your dog, and any fines you may receive for your dog being off-leash.
