Let’s go hiking to celebrate National Black Dog Day, then grab a beer and a bite at Bier Station – dogs of all colors are welcome, of course!
Hike at Swope Park
We will hike this approximate route (about 3.5 miles) The hike should take an hour and a half or so –Â www.mapmywalk.com/routes/view/1783761017
This is a hike on dirt and rock trails, so make sure you prepare properly. There may be mud on the trail. We’re in the woods, so you may want to bring bug spray for yourself and your pooch. You should also bring water for your dog.

Public Event – Invite everyone you know!
This is a “Public Event” and we’re inviting dog owners all across Kansas City to join us! Also mark yourself as “Going” on Facebook and invite a friend –Â www.facebook.com/events/275158306331721/
Wear your KC Dog Club shirt!
OFF-LEASHÂ – All cities in the Kansas City area have “leash laws,” requiring dogs to be on-leash at all times (other than specifically designated areas). As a group, KC Dog Club does not require dogs to be kept on-leash, however, you (alone) are responsible for your dog, the actions of your dog, and any fines you may receive for your dog being off-leash.
