[PUBLIC EVENT] Hike with the Hounds at Shawnee Mission Park

This is a public event. We’re inviting all dog lovers, even if they’re not members of KC Dog Club.

We’re meeting at Shawnee Mission Park’s Shelter #3, and we will hike the Orange Loop and Violet Loop trails – for a total of 4.5 miles.

This is a hike on dirt and rock trails, so make sure you prepare properly. The trails do have some obstacles (rocks) and the trails do go up and down hills. Bring water for your pooches! Bug spray for yourself and for your pooch is also a good idea.

OFF-LEASH – All cities in the Kansas City area have “leash laws,” requiring dogs to be on-leash at all times (other than specifically designated areas). As a group, KC Dog Club does not require dogs to be kept on-leash, however, you (alone) are responsible for your dog, the actions of your dog, and any fines you may receive for your dog being off-leash.
