Warriors’ Best Friend 5K

Let’s support Warriors’ Best Friend ( www.warriorsbestfriend.org/ ) at the First Annual Warriors’ Best Friend 5K ( www.warriorsbestfriend5k.com/) , benefiting local homeless pets and veterans battling post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.

This scenic cross-country course located of Warriors’ Best Friend’s 65 acre property is comprised of ponds and beautiful foliage on the northern outskirts of Kansas City. Fun fall activities for kids of all ages! Several veteran organizations will be present with booths to provide more information about local resources available. Veterans run FREE!

Make sure to stop by the Warriors’ Best Friend Barn on event day to meet some of our dogs-in-training and learn how these special dogs are making a huge impact upon the lives of wounded veterans!

We are running at 10:15 am with our dogs (you don’t have to bring a dog).

We are meeting at 9:45 am near the start/registration table before the race.

After the run we are eating at Nicky’s Pizza with our dogs on the patio –

Run/Walk Entry Fee: $30. Free for veterans.

• We will be meeting at 9:45 am.
• Please do not RSVP YES if you do not plan to get-together with club members at 9:45 am
• Meet near the race starting location/registration table
• Lauren will post the exact meeting location in the comments section when she arrives, so keep an eye on the comments
• If you plan to go to Warrirors’ Best Friend 5K, but not get-together with club members please do not RSVP yes.
