Barksgiving Day Hike Details
Some people have a tradition of playing football Thanksgiving morning. This year, be part of a new tradition – Join KC Dog Club for the 1st Annual Barksgiving Day Hike! Bring your pooch, bring your family and come out for a hike.
We’re meeting at Shawnee Mission Park’s Shelter #3, and we will hike the Orange Loop and Violet Loop trails – for a total of 4.5 miles.
If you need something a bit shorter, no fear – there are multiple opportunities for you to cut your hike short.

This is a hike on dirt and rock trails, so make sure you prepare properly. The trails do have some obstacles (rocks) and the trails do go up and down hills. Bring water for your pooches!
